What is Cefixime for
This medication is an oral cephalosporin third generation antibiotic prescribed for gonorrhea tonsillitis and pharyngitis It works by fighting against the bacteria in the body

How should Cefixime be used
Adult PO Susceptible infections The recommended dose is 200400 mgday Uncomplicated gonorrhoea The recommended dose is 400 mg as a single dose It comes as a tablet capsule and syrup to take by mouth with food

Can I take Azithromycin with other medicines
Do not take antacids together with Azithromycin Antacids could reduce the effectiveness of Azithromycin If you must take antacids take them at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after Azithromycin  Alert your doctor if you are taking any other medicines especially those listed here  heart medicines such as digoxin digitoxin and amiodarone  warfarin a bloodthinning medicine  lovastatin and other similar cholesterol medicines  migraine medicines that contain   other medicines such as nelfinavir   Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines including herbal medicines and medicines that you buy without a prescription
